A celebration of New Zealand wine comes to Auckland

A new national wine celebration is taking place next month and will boast some of the best wineries from every region of the country.
New Zealand has almost 700 wineries spread the breadth of the country, and in just a few decades these have changed our landscape, our reputation and our palates. Just after this year’s grape harvest, winemakers will be heading to Auckland for a new national wine celebration taking place from 20 – 21 May. Best of all, you're invited.

Winetopia presented by Singapore Airlines takes place at Shed 10 on Queens Wharf and will boast some of the best wineries from every region of the country. Master of Wine Bob Campbell will be joined by Australian wine guru Nick Stock, plus a host of wine makers, sommeliers and wine-loving personalities. They will host special tastings, food and wine matching classes and share their love of the New Zealand wine scene. Hopetoun Brown will also play a live set at the finish of each session.

Online tickets are just $30 for a 3½ hour session and include a tasting glass and your first five tastings as well as free talks and entertainment.
There are three different sessions you can choose from:
- Friday 20 May - 5:00pm – 8:30pm
- Saturday 21 May - 12:00pm – 3:30pm
- Saturday 21 May - 4:30pm – 8:00pm

Some delectable food matches will be available from award winning artisans and, as the name suggests, Winetopia will be heaven for anyone with a love of wine. See www.winetopia.nz for tickets and information.
