Veuve Clicquot celebrates 200th anniversary at the Land Rover New Zealand Polo Open

Raise a flute and celebrate in style with Veuve Clicquot this February.
This year, the house of Veuve Clicquot will celebrate the 200th anniversary of Madame Clicquot's first ever blended rosé champagne.
Guests at the Land Rover New Zealand Polo Open will be treated to a unique celebration of all things Veuve Clicquot, donning the "yellow carpet" for one spectacular afternoon this Sunday, February 18th.
To mark the occasion and toast to creativity, Veuve Clicquot have teamed up with an impressive line-up of innovative women, including Karla Goodwin of Bluebells Cakery, Yon Kavvas of Claybird Ceramics and abstract acrylic artist, Jen Sievers.
Come Sunday, the renowned champagne house will debut their ‘Colourama’ Marquee, a vibrant fusion of art, food and – naturally – champagne. Guests in the Veuve Clicquot Colourama Marquee will also be treated to a larger than life 200th birthday cake created by Karla.
"My inspiration for the cake creation is a blend of Madame Clicquot’s audacious spirit and the vibrant colours that Veuve Clicquot Rosé is known for," Karla says. "To me, each cake I create is a canvas and bakers are artists with their palette knives and piping bags with pastel butter creams."
