The Great Kiwi BBQ: Host a barbie to raise funds for children with cancer
Child Cancer Foundation's latest fundraiser, The Great Kiwi BBQ, is a chance to come together with friends, family or colleagues and raise money for children with cancer and their whanau - and we think it's a fabulous idea!
It's no secret that New Zealanders and Australians love a barbie, and the long summer days in which we can have one are fading fast. So we are delighted to hear that Child Cancer Foundation's new fundraiser is BBQ focused.
The fundraiser encourages Kiwis to come together with friends, family, or colleagues for a BBQ to raise money for children with cancer. All you have to do is pick any day in March or April to host a barbecue, sign up to participate (and recieve a special BBQ pack with goodies including tongs, a frisbee, ingredients for kiwi dip and more). Then get a group of people together, and ask them to donate to your fundraising page. Now you're cooking with fire!
Part of the fun is spreading the word, to other will-be-barbecuers can donate or participate, so share any images or stories of your barbecue on social with #GreatKiwiBBQ and @ChildCancerFoundation to let everyone know.
