Aotearoa Art Fair 2022 Showcases Region’s Best

The 2022 Aotearoa Art Fair (formerly the Auckland Art Fair), New Zealand’s premier showcase for contemporary art, returns to The Cloud this Wednesday 16 November for five days of stunning exhibitions.  

With 41 galleries from across New Zealand and Australia, the 2022 Aotearoa Art Fair offers enthusiasts plenty of inspiration and awe-inspiring art for all to enjoy – from painting to photography, moving image and sculpture.

Alongside the exhibitions showing the work of more than 180 of the best artists in our region, you can also get creative with a Kahoa (Tongan flower garland) making workshop with artist Sione Monu, or in the Squiggla Making Space, a hands-on mark making programme.

Hear artists like Judy Millar and Katherine Throne talk about their work on the gallery stands, or chill out in the outdoor sculpture park, overlooking the Waitemata Harbour.

While you’re there, enjoy the great food and drink offerings of Dusty Apron, Passa Passa food truck, plus at the Opening Night on Wednesday and the Art Party on Friday evening, the Oyster Inn will be shucking and Cazador will be popping up with charcuterie platters to enjoy alongside the Perrier-Jouët Champagne, Seresin Estate wines, and cocktails by Scapegrace.
